Growing Local: Seen Far and Wide

By May 5, 2015News

I know how hard Bridget, Tahria, and the team worked on this project, so we’re happy to report Growing Local is being seen far and wide. In Maine, the Maine Farmland Trust (MFT) has screened it in roughly 40 venues from large movie theaters to coop markets to libraries and farm-to-table restaurants. The word from MFT is that these shows are consistently packed with standing room only— full of Mainers eager to hear what they can do to help support local farming. After each showing we require a panel discussion with local farmers or leaders to discuss how the issues in the film can be best tackled in each community. I like to think of this as agency, it is nice to think that these films are part of it.

Eat local if you can.

For these stories, Evermaven was commissioned to art direct the visual narrative using illustration and motion graphics. The animated components were included in the film series and can be seen in a demo reel, along with the films here.
