Witness

The emerging genre of conservation photography needed a voice. Some of the best environmental communicators working today offered their own.

Project Summary
The International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) is a U.S. based non-profit organization whose mission is to further environmental and cultural conservation through photography.

Evermaven was commissioned by the iLCP to produce a documentary film exploring a contemporary account of the emerging genre of conservation photography. In the film, notable anthropologist Jane Goodall, National Geographic Editor-at-Large Michael “Nick” Nichols, and International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) founding president Cristina Mittermeier—among others—share candid thoughts on the power of photography and its value as an effective conservation tool. The narrative is accompanied by stunning photographic contributions from over 40 conservation photographers.

This documentary film was inspired by “Conservation Photography”, a thesis by Carlton Ward, Jr.
